2005 Ford Mustang GT

Well... Its official, I'm in love again! And not with a girl this time. This time, its a car! And that car is the 2005 Ford Mustang GT. I just got back from the Ford Dealership down the street from me. I had been planning on doing a test drive for a week now, and the car that I wanted to drive was a Mustang. Well, I got my wish. Not only does the outside of the car look dead sexy, but once you sit in the driver's seat, you know that you are sitting in a piece of engineering art. The leather seats are so comfortable, they mold to your body. The driver's seat is power adjustable. And it even has lumbar support (for your lower back). All the controls are at your finger tips. The shifter is in a perfect spot, it doesn't get in the way of anything; and at any steering wheel level, you can see all the dials perfectly. And the environmental condition controls are easy to use. Even though the car has a lowered body, there is still plenty of headroom for a tall guy like me (I'm 6'3), and there is plenty of leg room as well. The pedals are easy to reach, and you can quickly move your foot from break to gas for a nice speedy takeoff. Breaking is sold and constant. I was able to bring the car from a wicked 130kph to 0kph in about 4s. And then when I took off again, I left a trail of smoke and rubber about 6 feet long, and I brought that bad boy back up to 130kph in about 7s. And the torque! OMG! The torque. It is so amazing, that even when the car is started, there is a slight twisting of the frame. And when the engine is revved up to 6000rpm, you can really feel it! The heart of the beast, is a powerful 4.6L V8 turning out 300bhp at 5750rpm and 320lb-ft of torque at 4500rmp. Even with such a powerful engine under the hood, the ride is suprisingly quiet. Both engine noise and road noise. We took the car over some bumpy terrain and the ride was still relatively smooth (as smooth as it can get when driving over rough terrain). And when you are cornering, the 17" racing tires, along with the Mac Pherson struts just hug the road! Now, with a sweet ride, you should have a sweet stereo, and Ford didn't skimp out on that either! With 6-speakers, and enough bass to rival some custom stereos; this one kicks ass! The GT comes standard with a 6-CD MP3 compatible stereo system. Turning out enough bass to vibrate all the mirrors and the doors themselves. This might not be much of a review, but it should be enough to get most of you out there to at least test drive a 2005 Mustang GT. And as you can see, even if its a Test Drive, I like to put my cars through their paces! If only there was a drag strip near me! And now, I am off to the bank to see about an Auto Loan! I must have this car!

Gay marrage

Wow! This is turning into a big fight. There are 2 sides for this. Those that are for gay marriage, and those that are against. For those of you have have no idea what I'm talking about, up here in Canada (yes, Canada is ABOVE the USA), we have something called gay marriage. I think that's self explanatory. But basically there are a lot of people that are against it. I've heard a lot of arguments from people that are against it. Some of them have said that the Bible states that marriage is between a man and a woman. Yes, it does say that, however the bible also says that a father can sell his daughter! The Bible also says that if you sin with your right hand, to cut it off. There are a lot of things that the Bible says to do, but we don't do it. Why? Because the bible is not there for us to follow to the word. It is a guideline. Anytime that someone follows the bible exactly, it turns out bad for them, and then legal action is taken. They are charged w/murder, or child abuse, or something!

The Catholic church is very against gay marriage. In fact, the Catholic church is against gays all together! We are taught to accept people for who they are, and not judge. But look at what is happening with this. Its sad to see people fighting over this. My girlfriend's dad is gay. He has a partner, and they've been together for years! If they wanted to get married, then I'd be there to support them! Simple as that.

I heard someone say that if we let gays marry, then marriage will no longer be sacred! Well, news flash for you! Marriage has not been sacred for a long time! With divorce, and the stupid "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" shows. With Brittany Spears and her fake marriage, etc... If you can show me how things like that have still kept marriage sacred then I'll shoot myself in the foot! Because if Marriage was still sacred, then people wouldn't abuse it, and wouldn't treat it with such disrespect. And I don't think that the Catholic Church has ANY right to say what is sacred and what is not. With all the sex scandals and the priests that have been charged with sexual assault and things of that nature. There is a lot of reform that needs to take place in this world. With everything! Gays should be allowed to get married, as should priests! And women should be allowed to preach in the Catholic church! Where is this "equal rights" thing that is talked about? I definitely don't see it anywhere...

I got a phone call from "The office of Stephen Harper" (he is the Conservative party leader) last week, and one of the questions was "Do you think that we should allow gay marriage?" or something of that nature. I told the guy that I know a lot of gay people. And if they want to get married, all the power to them! It makes no difference to me if two men, or two women want to get married! And in this day and age, I applaud them. Now, not sure if you can tell, but I am clearly for gay marriage! However, the douche on the phone decided to put me down for "undecided". The bastard! Oh well...

So, we'll see what happens with Bill C-38 (to allow gay marriage) and with the Liberal Government. I don't know who I'm going to vote for in the next election. I might just vote for the Green Party, or something like that! I really don't know. All of the parties in Canada are full of shit!

House gone wireless!

I DID IT! I FINALLY DID IT! My house is now wireless... internet that is. I just completed the setup today! My laptop has been wireless for a while now, but I just hooked up my 2 desktops so that they are wireless as well. However, one of the adapters is having a little trouble picking up a strong signal. The signal strength is only 40% which is kinda crappy, considering when I put my laptop right beside it, I have a 90% signal... so I think I'm going to exchange that adapter (a USB adapter that is outside the computer) for a PCI adapter (one that goes inside of the computer). That should make things better. Then all I need to do is get some High Gain antennas for my wireless router and I'll be good to go! :D YEAH ME!

Yeah glasses... Boo work!

So, looks like Hakim came through on Saturday. Turns out that apparently, the guy that does the deliveries quit, and they needed to find someone to make the deliveries. A story which I don't believe. But oh well! I have my new glasses, and I'm very happy! :D They fit pretty good. I just need to get the arms adjusted so that they fit a bit better. At least my girlfriend likes them! ;) Which is always a good thing. And so here I am, Sunday night at Rachel's house helping her on a project that is due tomorrow. She needs a lot of help on it as her eye sight is diminishing. She's seeing double of everything, and there are times when it gets pretty bad. Rachel and I have been together for quite some time now. We are coming upto 2yrs. But I've known her for a lot longer!!! We've gotten really close (duh) and I've become a major part of her life. She's become a major part of mine as well. I'm a bit afraid though right now. Because I don't know whats happening with her. I'm don't know what her brain tumour is doing. Yes, thats right. Rachel has a brain tumour. She was diagnosed about 3yrs ago with a Binine Brain Tumour. Which means its just going to sit there and not do anything. But that doesn't mean that it won't effect her! One of the side effects is double vision! And thats what she is getting again. I'm afraid that I'll loose her. I can't bare that. I don't know what I'd do without her in my life! Every night I lay awake and pray for her. Pray that she will be al right. I know in my heart that Rachel is the one that I want to be with. I know that. I love her too much to loose her. Well, thats enough for my blog for now, I should go back to helping Rachel!
